So, grab your Mickey ears and let's visit our TOP Disneyland Resort treats and snacks! This is by no means a comprehensive list- but it’s a good place to start!

Churros – The Iconic Must-Have!

ree

A first stop on this tasty expedition has to be the iconic Disneyland churros. As you stroll through the enchanting streets of Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked churros are everywhere! These golden, cinnamon-sugar-coated delights are a quintessential Disney snack that simply cannot be missed. Whether you prefer classic churros, specialty flavors, or seasonal variations, each one is delicious!

Want to know what is available and delicious for your own vacation? We will let you know our personal seasonal favorites and where to find them before you travel! Pictured: the PBJ & Bacon Churro found at the Hollywood Cart in California Adventure.

Our Personal Favorite Snack: CHURRO TOFFEE

ree

It has been several years since we were first introduced to this amazing snack at the Disneyand Resort. It doesn’t sound like much, but don’t knock it until you try it! The toffee covered in white chocolate and cinnamon churro sugar goodness is next level delicious and worth a stop. We stop for it every day of our vacation!

Churro Toffee can be found all over the Disneyland Resort. Visit Marceline’s Confectionary in Downtown Disney, Bing Bong’s Sweet Shop or Trolley Treats in California Adventure, or Pooh Corner and Candy Palace at Disneyland Park.

This is a great snack to bring back for family and friends, or to stash in your suitcase for some Disney magic after you return home (it says good for a long time, and it freezes well!)

Pro Tip: don’t wait until the end of the day if this is a must-have treat for you! Sometimes they sell out!

Dole Whip – A Tropical Delight

Escape the bustling theme park atmosphere and head to the enchanted hideaway known as the Tiki Juice Bar. Here, you'll find one of Disneyland's most sought-after snacks: the legendary Dole Whip. This creamy, pineapple-infused soft-serve treat is a refreshing indulgence on a sunny day. Enjoy one while also enjoying the air conditioning of the Tiki Room

Wanting something more adventurous? Visit the Tropical Hideaway! Right around the corner from the Tiki Room, this little corner of Adventureland offers some different Dole Whip Flavors and concoctions. Some favorite options include Chile-Mango Whip, Strawberry Dole Whip Sundae, or a Dole Whip Float.

Mickey-shaped Beignets – Sweet Happiness in Every Bite

If you're craving a taste of New Orleans, make your way to the Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland's New Orleans Square. Here, you'll discover fluffy and delectable Mickey-shaped beignets that are simply irresistible. Coated with a generous dusting of powdered sugar, these warm and doughy delights are the perfect companion to a mint julep or a delightful midday snack. Seasonally, some fun specialty flavors and dips are available. A personal favorite seaonal flavor would be Maple Mickey beignets with maple bacon dipping sauce!

Currently, the Mint Julep Bar is under construction to make way for a new dining experience, Tiana’s Palace, coming later this year. Never fear, beignets are still available! Get a Mint Julep (refreshing mint drink with a hint of lime flavor) and a 3 pack of Mickey-shaped beignets at the Royal Street Veranda, located next to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Jack Jack Cookie Num Num

ree

As we venture into Disney California Adventure's Pixar Pier, you can’t help but get a whiff of these cookies over by the Incredicoaster. The Jack Jack Cookie is a warm, gooey, chocolate chunk cookie that is large enough to share. It is served warm with a “spork” for easy eating. It is a little messy- be prepared for a little bit of chocolate on your face! The gluten free shortbread option is also very good!

Jolly Holiday Bakery

A trip to Disneyland Park is not complete without a few treats from the Jolly Holiday Bakery. Located at the top of Main Street, this is one place that we usually use Mobile Ordering in advance- the line can get quite long. While the bakery also serves sandwiches and meals, we mostly go for the baked goods. Seasonal treats are always available, but our tried and true favorites include the Matterhorn Macaroon (coconut macaroon dipped in white chocolate) and the Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron (raspberry rose almond filling and fresh raspberries).

Choco-Smash CANDY Bar

ree

This extremely large candy bar is served cold and can be found at Pym's Test Kitchen in California Adventure. Because the restaurant theming leans towards extremely large or small foods, this candy bar can be split between several people! The bar includes dark chocolate, peanuts, caramel, nougat, and chocolate brownie. Sound right up your alley? It is definitely worth a try- just don't try to eat the whole thing by yourself!

Disneyland Pickle

Pickles are a peculiar choice for a most-loved Disney snack- but we agree that they are different from a normal pickle, they are hands down the best pickles ever! The pickles at Disneyland are whole pickles wrapped in plastic wrap, ready to eat. They are kept on ice (a secret to the best flavor) and they are sold at fruit stands throughout the Park. They are always $3.99 and served whole. Sometimes you can find a spicy pickle, which is indicated with a “spicy” sticker.

Are you a pickle lover? You can also try the Fried Pickle Spears from Carnation Café or the the Fried Pickle Chips at Black Tap in Downtown Disney. Both are delicious!

The Classic Corn Dog

ree

While we would argue that everything tastes better in Disneyland, the classic Corn Dog definitely is amazing! Each delicious, made-to-order dog is hand-dipped and deep-fried and made especially for you. Find one at the Corn Dog Castle in California Adventure, or at the Little Red Wagon and Stage Door Café in Disneyland Park. Corn Dogs are served with a small bag of chips and a Cutie orange. Our favorite place to enjoy one is from the Stage Door Café, but instead of eating it outside, take your tray next door and enjoy the air conditioning at the Golden Horseshoe!

Pretzel Carts

ree

Disneyland Pretzels are a classic Disney treat- found all over the parks at pretzel carts, they are a quick and easy snack to grab that Is filling and delicious. The classic version can be dipped in mustard or cheese sauce. Most pretzel carts also offer the Jalapeno Cheese-filled Pretzel. While this sounds spicy, it is actually pretty mild and has good flavor. The cream cheese filling balances out that little bit of jalapeno heat. If you want something a little different, it is a yummy option.

ree

Another delicious pretzel option can be found at Pym’s Test Kitchen in California Adventure. This restaurant is Ant-man and Wasp themed and includes foods in irregular proportions. The Quantum Pretzel appetizer is sized to share- it is gigantic! It is a Bavarian-style pretzel that includes Sharp Cheddar Cheese-Beer Sauce. We recommend adding an extra sauce to your order, there never seems to be enough to go around!

Popcorn- Our Unpopular Opinion

ree

While popcorn bucket collections and Disney popcorn seem to be all the rage, we do not waste our time on popcorn at Disneyland! Popcorn is a snack we can get at the movies and enjoy (and to us it tastes the same), so we save our money and calories for other snacks we can’t get anywhere else. The exception to this might be a refillable popcorn bucket for a large family. A bunch of inexpensive refills may make this snack worth it!

Salt and Straw: Downtown Disney Honorable Mention

ree

An entirely separate post needs to be written about Downtown Disney, but we couldn't end without giving a shout out to Salt and Straw- a must visit every time we are in Anaheim. What makes it so special? Their unique and fun flavors and creamy texture. There are tried and true favorites that they always have on the menu, and then they have delicious seasonal flavors as well. There are usually 5 flavors that switch in and out, so every time you go, it can be different. We are big fans of the split scoop- for an extra 50 cents you can do half and half on a scoop of ice cream - perfect for the person

ree

that can't decide! Salt and Straw likes to be sure you are confident in your pick- so they offer unlimited free samples!

Pro Tip: you can't go wrong with Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons or Chocolate Gooey Brownie! Or if you are feeling more adventurous, try Pear and Blue Cheese!

Which Disney snacks do you look forward to when you visit Mickey Mouse in California? Hopefully one of these options gives you something new to try and look forward to on your next trip!
